Fruit Free for All!

We are joining forces with Ginger Whisk to sort out some of this year’s surplus fruit after an amazing harvest.

You are all invited to drop in and come help chop and cook Chiswick’s pears and apples and made them into something delicious. All workers will be paid in chutney and/or preserves. Roll up your sleeves and stay for a short time or a long time.

The event takes place on Saturday 9th September from 10am-4pm at Ginger Whisk, 14 Turnham Green Terrace Mews W4 1QU. RSVP if possible or just drop-in at any time

Some of the things we’ll be trying…

Apple and sage jelly
Christmas chutney – apple dried cranberry spiced
Apple paste/jelly/membrillo
Classic apple chutney
Apple and rhubarb chutney

Pear and ginger chutney
Pear, star anise syrup (for cocktails)
Pear jam with a dash of Sipsmith
Pear and lemon jam
